Trying hard to stay on track in the real world. My weight is still fluctuating between 202-206 but i'm trying to eat better to make it go down. I'm sure if i exercised now it would help a lot and i could eat the amount i am (which is between 1200 and 1500 cal a day). If i want to eat the upwards of 1500cal a day, i need to work out to lose because otherwise i gain or maintain. My body is so weird.
I've been trying to take a little break from everything to recharge my batteries, but i see a need to start working hard and eating better (and by better i mean having 400cal or less meals 2 times a day plus fruit for snacks). I did have a pre made caeser salad from trader joes today and it was amazing! It will be a nice pre made thing to have around when i'm too busy to cook lunch.
Getting healthy is a never-ending struggle. Be it with food or exercise, its tough for everyone. Only by practicing it can we strengthen our willpower enough to actually stick with it and make it slightly easier.
Food for thought xo

Hi I'm new on here but have been following the blogs of some peopel on here for a while. I came across yours when I searched for something and just started reading it.
ReplyDeleteHow's everything going? Are you still taking the drops? If not, have you been able to maintain your loss? I'm worrieda bout taking them and then gaining weight back when I stop.
I saw you blogging about your friend on here too. Is she still doing it with you? Is she doing the drops too? Or is she still losing with somethign else? I saw you post that she was having trouble. I'm scared of that happening too. It's probably good to have a friend to go through it with. Do you think it's helpful?
Have you tried any other weight loss methods that you've had success with? Or failure? I'm looking into a few different things right now.
Sorry for all the questions. I'm trying to get as much info and opinions as I can before I decide what I want to try.
I'm no longer on the drops, ive been off them for a couple months. i've been losing since i stopped hcg by implementing the healthy habits i learned from doing it and counting calories on my phone app (noom) each day. i lost 25lbs or so from hcg and ive lost 5 since ive stopped. i think its all a matter of willpower with keeping it off. if you can keep eating the healthy foods and trying to pick the better food options/eating a small amount of bad foods when you go out, you cant fail. dont deprive yourself, but dont give in all the time either.
ReplyDeletemy friend couldnt go through with hcg, she didnt take the low calorie diet well and quit it. we think it was because of a health problem because i wasnt having any trouble adjusting. before you do hcg be sure to read the pdf on it to know all the facts! on the two loading days, eat a LOT. it helps you ease in to the low calorie phase.
i've tried almost every diet and theyve worked but i always gained it all back. i think weight loss is more of a mental thing now. you have to be ready to be committed to changing. if youre not ready, you will cheat and give up. ive seen a lot of people do it, and ive done it in the past. other than hcg, weight watchers was my most successful diet, but i did gain it all back plus when i stopped.
just dont do it for a quick fix, weight loss is a lifestyle change, thats the only way to keep it off. but yes, i do recommend hcg :)
good luck sweetie!

Wow! Thank you for the long reply. It was really helpful. I am doing weight watchers first and then I might try the hcg drops. It seems like they are a good way to get started with the changes you are talking about.
ReplyDeleteI've cheated and given up in the past too. I really need to make it work for me this time thought. I am not that huge but can stand to lose a lot. I'm around 216 right now so I have a lot of work to do.
Sorry your friend quit doing it with you. I had that happen on a diet one time and after my friend quit, I only lasted another week or two. It's a lot easier when you have support. In the end I think you have to make yourself your own support.
I have heard that other people had trouble with the diet in that way too. I don't want to sound mean or anything but is your friend really big? I heard from a lady who was really, really big, like 310 pounds, that she had that same problem. A friend tried them and had that problem too. She was probably between 250 and 275. She wouldn't ever really say how much and would say something like between 200 and 300. If I had to guess though it was in that range. She said that she kept getting really light headed and weak. I think she passed out once too. She asked her doctor about it and he todl her that she wasn't eating enough and that those calories were way too low. He said if the drops worked in another way then he didn't see much harm in them but that the whole plan was a bad idea for her. I'm not saying it's that way for everyone, but I think that maybe after a certain weight they might be more harmful. Other people who have been smaller and done them haven't had any problems at all. I'm learning from weight watchers that the bigger you are the more you have to eat just to function, so I wonder if it was just too low calories. I guess it's not the same for everyone, but that was the issue for my friend. Thats part of why I was looking for more info too. Those two stories scared me!
Thank you for sharing all of the information and your story and progress. That's really cool. I'm not brave enough to post all of that stuff on my page yet, but I am keeping track.
