I did some research today to figure out what my body fat percentage might be. While it is only speculation and can only be properly determined by a doctor, the calculator i found did open my eyes a bit to how my body would best hold weight! I typed in my measurements, height and weight and ended up with an "average" size of 27.04 body fat percentage!
here is the chart/site: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/body-fat-chart.php
This told me that your body needs about 100lbs just for lean muscle, bones and organs. add in my body fat percentage and i should not go lower than 127lbs! If i did it would be deemed highly unhealthy for my body! That is comforting to me. I always thought i needed to be 125lbs.. but now that I've done the research and can see that 127 is my minimum weight for health, it makes me feel so much better that my weight aspirations are now in the 145-160lb area. I want to be healthy and "thick" but not super skinny or boney. I like a little meat on my bones.
Currently i am 187lbs. My Birthday was May 9th so the month has been a bit over splurged in the food department. I am introducing more exercise into my routine along with my 1350 calorie a day diet! I have a goal to lose 20 lbs by the end of summer. That may not be attainable, but i can sure try. When i hit 160lbs, i'm rewarding my 70lb weight loss with a breast augmentation. Something i've wanted since i was a little girl. I won't get into my reasons for it or the fact that my A cup bra size makes me feel like a boy whenever i am not wearing a padded bra, but this goal is helping me get back on track. I'm hoping that refocusing my diet on a track of protein, healthy carbs and fruits/veggies along with jillian michaels and zumba dvds will help shed this weight!
Before my birthday, my weight did get down to 185lbs, but during my 2 week splurge fest i went back up to 191lbs. I had to correct that right away, and i'm still not done fixing it, but i'm working hard to get it done!
Wish me luck!
I'll keep you updated with my progress!
